Description

Dean Locks on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal are two staggered parallel locks built in the 1780s. They are constructed of stone and feature timber footbridges. The locks include lever ground paddles, which are characteristic of this canal. The northern lock has timber gates, while the southern lock is equipped with iron gates. There is also a weir situated between the two locks.
