Description
The Village Farmhouse, built in 1752, is a two-storey brick farmhouse with an attic and a slate roof, following a double-depth central-staircase plan. The front elevation features three bays, with a central door that has a moulded surround, a keystone, and an overlight. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light casement windows, and on the first floor, there are two 3-light and one 2-light casement window, all with cambered brick arches, keystones, and stone sills. The rear has seven similar openings without keystones. The farmhouse has two gable stacks and is set within an enclosed front garden that includes rusticated gatepiers and elaborate urns.
