Description
Pole Bank Hall is a house, now a residential home, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof. The building has a double-depth central-staircase plan and stands two storeys high, with a 19th-century addition at the rear and a single-storey 20th-century wing to the left.
Notable architectural features include an ashlar plinth, a first-floor band, an eaves cornice with a blocking course, a hipped roof, and chimney stacks with stone cornices. The central bay and corners of the building are slightly advanced. The main entrance consists of a central four-panel door flanked by arched side-panels and a fanlight, all sheltered by a tetrastyle Ionic porch with a pediment.
There are two ground floor windows and three first floor windows, all with stone sills, flat brick arches, and sashes that do not have glazing bars. The left side of the building features a three-window segmental bay, while other windows are treated similarly to those at the front. The interior of the house remains largely unaltered.
