Description

Wood End Canal Bridge is a roving bridge built between 1794 and 1801, designed by engineers Benjamin Outram and Thomas Brown. It is constructed of squared rubble and features an elliptical arch. The parapet wall on the north side has replacement copings and square terminating piers, while the south side includes a spiral tow-path walk. The bridge is also known as Captain Clarke's Bridge.
