Description

The hearse house at St George's Church was built in 1841, as indicated by the keystone. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof. The gable faces the road and has large double doors set within a Tudor-arched surround, which includes chamfered rustication and a keystone depicting a skull and crossbones. The building also has coped gables and eaves bands.
