Description

The Huddersfield Narrow Canal Lock 16W tail bridge is an accommodation bridge dating from the early 19th century, likely designed by Benjamin Outram. It is constructed from coursed dressed stone and features a single elliptical arch made of voussoirs. Below the slightly cambered parapet, there is a stone band. The bridge has half round stone copings, and the west side ends with square capstones. The arch springs from the lock chamber walls on the lockside.
