Description
Moor Farm is a farmhouse, now a house, with an adjoining shippon that has been converted into a garage. The farmhouse dates from the late 18th century, while the shippon is from the 17th century. The farmhouse is constructed of English garden wall bond brick and features a graduated stone slate roof. It has a double-depth central-entrance plan with two storeys and the shippon attached to the left. The building has two bays, with a central 20th-century porch and two windows on each floor. The ground floor windows are three-light mullion and transom casement windows, which have cambered brick arches and stone sills, while the first-floor windows are three-light casements. There are gable stacks on the roof. The shippon has had garage doors added to the gable end. One side of the shippon retains one and a half structural bays of square-panel framing with a brick plinth, a blocked doorway, and diagonal braces. The rear of the shippon has been rebuilt, and the interior is sheathed in brick.
