Description

A house, now divided into three cottages, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone with a graduated stone slate roof. The original house was built to a double-depth plan, with a conservatory added to the left gable. A later three-storey wing, known as Spring Cottage, was added to the right gable, set back from the original structure. The front elevation has two bays, with six-light windows on the ground floor and five-light windows above, all featuring recessed flat-faced stone mullions. Decorative kneelers and chimneys are present. A door with a square-cut surround is located on the left gable, and further windows of one, two, three, and four lights are found on the gable and rear. Two doors on the rear first floor have square-cut surrounds. The later addition has a single depth; its doorway features a rusticated surround and a keystone lintel, and there is a six-light sash window with a square-cut surround on each floor.
