Description

No. 6 Moon Grove is a house built around 1833-1836. It features brown and grey brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with grey headers, and has a slate roof. The house has a double-depth, double-fronted design, standing two storeys high over a cellar, and includes three symmetrical windows. There are steps leading up to a round-headed doorway that has a panelled door and a fanlight with radial geometrical tracery. The windows are 16-pane sashed, and there are gable chimneys. Historically, this house is part of a small speculative development by a flour dealer who acquired the site in 1833. It forms a group with No. 4 and Nos. 5 and 7 Moon Grove.
