Town house, now part cafe. c.1800, altered. Painted brick, slate roof. Single-depth double-fronted plan. Three storeys, a wide 2-window facade, formerly symmetrical, with woodem modillioned eaves cornice (damaged); central round-headed doorway (now blocked) with open-pedimented doorcase of semi-columns with entablatures; inserted shop window to left and inserted doorway to right; segmental-headed windows at 1st floor, that to left now a 2-light casement and that to right boarded; square windows at 2nd floor, that to right a 12-pane sash (slightly altered) and that to right a 2-light casement. Rear and interior not inspected. Rare example of Georgian domestic building in city centre; forms part of group with No.39 Chorlton Street (which is similar) and No.37 (Churchill PH) between them.
