Description

The bandstand, built between 1890 and 1910 and later restored, features a hexagonal plan and is constructed from cast iron, wrought iron, and wood, topped with a slate roof. It stands on a brick plinth and is supported by cast-iron columns. The wrought-iron railings are bowed in profile and include simple Art Nouveau inverted heart-shaped panels. There are 20th-century steps at the north corner, simple iron brackets supporting the purlins, and the underside of the swept slate canopy roof is wooden, ribbed, and boarded, culminating in an apex finial.
