Description

No. 123 Liverpool Road is a pair of town houses, now used as offices, dating from the early to mid 19th century and altered over time. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with some sandstone dressings and a slate roof. It has a double-depth plan with a back extension and stands three storeys tall, featuring four windows, which were probably originally arranged as two pairs.

To the right, there is a round-headed doorway with a wooden pilastered doorcase that includes a dentilled cornice and a plain fanlight above. The second bay has a similar round-headed opening that was likely a doorway but has been converted into a window. The remaining windows have raised sills and flat-arched heads made of gauged brick, with 20th-century top-hung casements that mimic the appearance of four-pane sashes. The left return side of the building is similar in style. This property is included for its group value.
