Description
Pleasant View is a row of four cottages built in the early 19th century, which have been altered over time. They are constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond, with Nos 6 and 8 being roughcast and painted white. The cottages feature a slate roof and have a rectangular double-depth plan, with each cottage being single-fronted. They are two storeys high and form a five-window range, with simple doorways, two of which are round-headed. The cottages have casement windows, all of which have been altered, and they feature ridge chimneys. Pleasant View is set back from the road, located behind another dwelling, and can only be accessed by a footpath. This row of cottages is an unusual survival and is included for its group value.
