Description

The Church of St Paul, built between 1844 and 1850 by architects I and J P Holden, is designed in an early English style. The church features a chancel, vestry, nave, south porch, west tower, and a small recessed spire, all adorned with lancet windows. In 1870, William Grant of Nuttall Hall funded the construction of the organ chamber, the organ, and choir stalls, and he also largely financed the Palmerston aisle, which includes a stained glass window.
