Description

Probably dating to around 1840, numbers 7 and 9 form a plain, symmetrical classical facade on the west side of the Market Place. The building is constructed of ashlar and extends to three storeys. It features four sash windows, which have been altered. The shopfronts are 20th-century replacements. The facade is defined by pilaster strips, sill bands, and an eaves cornice. The building is designated a group value as part of the wider Ramsbottom town centre.
