Description
Stand Rectory is a building dating from around 1830, designed by Charles Barry. It is likely a conversion from a farmhouse and exhibits a Regency style of neo-Tudor architecture. The exterior is rendered and symmetrical, featuring three mullioned windows with drip moulds, with the ground floor windows being of double height and including transoms. There is a polygonal closed porch topped with a peaked lead roof, which has glazed double doors beneath what is probably a 20th-century fanlight. The building has deep coved eaves. The rear of the structure has characteristics from the 18th century. To the right, there is a one-bay extension that is set back and lower but maintains a similar style.
