Description
Stand House is a red brick mansion, likely built in the late 18th century, with some alterations and additions. The building has two storeys and features seven sash windows with glazing bars. A notable architectural element is the mullion cornice, which has a pediment above the three advanced central bays. The entrance is marked by a stone pedimented doorcase supported by Tuscan pilasters and a pulvinated frieze. On the left-hand return front, there are seven windows, including two that are blind. Inside, the first floor includes six fielded doors and two 18th-century wooden mantels, while the ground floor features sunk-panel doors and shutters. The staircase has a moulded swept rail and replacement balusters. There is a 20th-century section on the right side of the building that is not of interest.
