Description

The Shoulder of Mutton Public House dates to the later 18th century, likely a rebuilding or remodelling of an earlier inn. It is constructed of symmetrical ashlar. The building is three stories high and has three sash windows on each floor; the top-floor windows are casements, but were likely originally sash windows. A four-panel door is set beneath a masked fanlight, with an open pediment resting on pilasters. The building features quoins. The roof is slate, covered by a parapet between gable stacks. Numbers 1 and 3 are attached to the right side of the building.
