Description
Rookwood and Wrenwood are two adjoining buildings dating from around 1880, designed in a rugged Queen Anne style. They are built of red brick with wooden detailing and stand three and a half storeys tall. The ground floor features various projections, while the first floor has four 4-light windows, with the middle ones being rectangular bays that have small panes in the upper lights. The side windows on the second floor have very small panes and project on brackets, with stud-decorated panels between them. Above the inner windows, there are dormers in the attic that feature very small panels, studded wooden panels on each side, and pediments above. The buildings have a very steep tiled roof and massive brick chimneys that are irregularly placed. To the left, there is a lower one-bay extension that includes a 4-light oriel window on the first floor.
