Description

This is a range of twelve shops and offices dating to around 1840, situated on Bridge Street between Prince Street and Silver Street. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and is three storeys high. It features twelve evenly spaced sash windows, mostly with glazing bars, each set within an architrave. Cornice hoods project above the first-floor windows. An eaves cornice and blocking course run along the roofline. The building has quoins at the corners. Shop fronts occupy the ground floor; while largely 20th century replacements, some remnants of an earlier cornice, possibly dating to circa 1825, remain.
