Description
Dated 1845, as indicated by a finely-cut stone tablet, this is a two-storey terrace of eight two-bay houses built in a late-Georgian style. The houses are constructed of hand-made pale red brick, with a stone plinth, stone lintels, a first-floor sill band, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course. They have sash windows with glazing bars, although many have been altered; the windows at numbers 6 and 8 are larger on the ground floor. The wooden door cases feature fluted pilasters and dentilled cornices, and most have ornamental metal fanlights with a curvilinear design over arched heads, with the exceptions of numbers 10, 18, and 20. The roofs are slate covered.
