Description

The former gatehouse to The Brooklyn, built around 1859, is a single-storey brick structure with a slate roof, designed in a cross plan. The gable facing the street features an expressed stack with octagonal stone shafts and a stilted arched entrance located in a gabled porch that projects from the western side. To the right of the porch, there is an advanced gable of the cross wing, which includes a 4-light mullioned window set in a squared bay. The interior has not been inspected.
