Description
Churchill's Public House is a public house that may have been purpose-built, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick on a stone plinth and features a slate roof that is hipped over the right-hand gable.
The building has two storeys and a three-window range, with the entrance located to the right of the center. There is a central upper window, which is currently blocked by an inn-sign, that aligns with the doorway below. The entrance features an eight-panelled door with a radial fanlight, set in a recessed architrave adorned with engaged Tuscan columns. The flanking windows on the ground floor have been renewed but remain in their original openings, each topped with flat arched painted stone heads. The upper windows are four-pane sashes. The end wall has stacks, and the two-window return includes a 19th-century bar front with a doorway and window situated beneath a continuous fascia. The interior has not been inspected.
