Description
The former Methodist Church, now a casino, was built in 1803. It is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and has a slate roof. The exterior features a pedimented front facing St George's Street, which includes three entrances: a central doorway with a pediment, flanked by two entrances with flat entablatures. There are five round arched windows with margin lights above, and two similar windows on either side of the entrance doors. The date stone at the apex is decorated with a quatrefoil and swags. The building has five-window returns, also featuring round arched windows. The east end is blind, having been previously blocked by buildings, including the manse, which have since been demolished. The interior has not been inspected.
