Description

The steps and balustrade to the garden terrace of Thornleigh House were built around 1870. They are constructed from ashlar and brick. The brick retaining walls support a stone balustrade, which features decorative balls at intervals. The balustrade runs along the south and east sides of Thornleigh House and includes flights of steps on both lengths, with curves designed to accommodate trees.
