Description
No 6 (Ivy Lodge) and No 8 (Laburnum Villa) are semi-detached Gothic Victorian villas located on Froghall Lane. No 6 makes up two-thirds of the building, while No 8 accounts for one-third. Both are constructed of brick with stone dressings and stand two storeys tall.
No 6 features a central porch with battlements, a cornice, and a stilted arched doorway, with a pointed arched window above. It has flanking gables adorned with cusped and carved bargeboards and pinnacles, along with upper sash windows that have long and short quoins and labels, and lower bay windows. No 8 is similar in style but appears as an additional wing, featuring a battlemented porch on the left, a bay window on the right, and only one gable.
These buildings, along with Nos 1, 6 to 10 (even), form a group with Nos 93, 72, and 74 Bewsey Street.
