Description

The Roman Catholic Church of St Alban, built in 1808 and altered in 1893 by Peter Paul Pugin, is located on Bewsey Street. The west end features a pediment gable with five round-arched windows above a gallery, and a pedimented porch below that includes a round-arched entrance with two orders. There is a small five-sided baptistery on the southwest corner. The church has a shallow apse and a Venetian chancel arch set within a large elliptical arch.
