Description
The Saracen's Head Public House, along with stables located at the rear to the north-east, is a Victorian public house likely built in conjunction with the brewery opposite. It features dark brick construction with bright red brick dressings and stands two storeys high. The building has double and triple sash windows with stone mullions, bay windows that project slightly, and a wood gable above the doorway. The stable block at the rear is similar in style, with slit windows, a central chimney, and a raised loft door that projects above the eaves. The Saracen's Head Public House, stables, No 383, and Greenall Whitley's Wilderspool Brewery are part of a group with Nos 3 to 9 (odd) China Lane.
