Description
No 383 on Wilderspool Causeway is a Victorian cottage-style lodge located at the corner of China Lane, likely built alongside the nearby Brewery. The building features red brick with stone dressings, and the upper storey is roughcast. It has a gabled roof, a bay window with moulded brick mullions, and brick string course casement windows. The chimneys are also made of moulded brick. This lodge, along with the Saracen's Head Public House, stables at the rear, and Greenall Whitley's Wilderspool Brewery, forms a group with the properties numbered 3 to 9 (odd) on China Lane.
