Description
The former National School, now a camping equipment showroom, is a tall two-storey brick building dated 1833. It features a parapet and a band between the storeys. In the centre, there are large two-storey bay windows with mullions and transoms, topped with battlements, and a cornice band follows the line of the gable. The building is flanked by large five-sided turrets with narrow slits and has four-centred arched entrances marked "girls" and "boys". This structure forms a group with the Marquis of Granby Public House and Sykes shoe repairs.
