Description

The Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage that has undergone alterations and additions. It is built of red brick and features a tiled roof, with a single storey and two bays. The exposed cruck blades in both gables suggest that the roof has been raised significantly. Some masonry is visible in the west gable. The cottage has modern casement windows and gable end stacks. Inside, a cross wall contains a cruck truss, and the former attic is now sealed off. It is said that the cottage was originally called "Haula Hall."
