Description

Deebanks is a house, now divided, likely built in the 1830s. It has a pebbledashed exterior and a hipped grey slate roof. The building is two storeys high with three rooms at the front, plus a north wing containing one room. The main block has a symmetrical front, featuring a projecting Roman Doric porch that supports a semi-circular bow window with a 16-pane sash in the centre and 8-pane sashes on either side. On each side of the porch, there are canted bay windows on the lower storey, each with a 16-pane sash at the front and 8-pane sashes on the sides, along with shuttered 16-pane sashes on the upper storey. The building is topped with three prominent pebble-dashed ridge chimneys. The left wing includes a Gothick window on each storey. The right end of the main block mirrors the front, with an arched entrance and fanlight on the lower storey, along with a canted bay window to the right, while the upper storey has four 16-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
