Description

Church Farmhouse, which includes a cottage wing to the west, is likely from the late 18th century, although it may have been remodeled in the early 18th century around 1850. The building is constructed of rendered brick with a slate roof, featuring a stone plinth and dressings. It has three storeys and an L-shaped plan, with the two-storey cottage wing set back. The main house has two widely spaced windows with sashes that have replaced earlier Victorian types. A central moulded doorcase is topped with a cornice hood supported by elongated consoles, and the door itself has six panels. Plain stone bands are present on the first and second floors.

Inside, there is an iron radial-bar fanlight above the inner double doors, and the ceiling beams are chamfered hardwood. The interior also features a Georgian corner cupboard, moulded architraves, and fielded panel doors. The staircase has square balusters and turned or octagonal newels, while the top floor door is fitted with wrought iron H-hinges and a Suffolk latch.
