Description

Rose Cottage is a house that may date from the 18th century, although its exterior was treated in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of stuccoed brick and has a Welsh slate roof, featuring one gable and one ridge chimney made of yellow brick. The building is two stories high with a symmetrical three-bay front. It has a moulded wooden cornice.

The end bays have depressed four-centered arched openings with label moulds, which contain 16-pane sash windows below and 12-pane sash windows above, featuring intersecting tracery in the glazed tympanum. The central bay features a projecting wooden porch with a domed glass roof, and behind it is a doorcase with a similar head and label mould, containing a pair of glazed doors and a fanlight with tracery. Above this, there is a similar window and a painted inscription that reads "circa 1745." The roof also has an added gabled dormer.
