Description
Box Hedge Hall Barn is a former farm building that has been converted into a dwelling. It dates from the late 17th century and has undergone later alterations. The structure features a brick-nogged oak frame and a steeply pitched clay tile roof, which was likely thatched in the past. The barn is one storey plus an attic and has four windows. It stands on a low sandstone plinth and includes small replaced casements with leading, two replaced doors, and a pair of double doors in arched openings at the rear. There is also a replaced chimney with a flue on the west gable end. The oak frame of the building remains largely intact, although the interior has not been inspected and is evidently altered.
