Description
Nos. 46 and 47 on Church Street are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century or earlier. They feature Flemish bond brown brickwork and a stone-slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and have three windows on each storey. No. 46 has a broad-board oak door, while No. 47 has a 19th-century framed and boarded door. Both cottages have casements with three 2-pane lights. Each gable has a brick flush chimney, and there is a ridge chimney to the left of the door on No. 46. The lower storey openings are topped with cambered gauged brick arches, and brick courses run straight across the upper openings. The interior has not been inspected. These cottages are included for their group value.
