Description

No. 42 Church Street is a house built around 1880. It is constructed of brown brick with a clay tile roof. The right wing features two windows, while the left has a cross-gable. There is a blue brick band at the first floor with a diagonally-set middle course. The entrance consists of a framed and boarded oak door with a two-pane overlight above it. The lower storey has two brick-mullioned four-light casements, while the upper storey includes a central two-light casement and a three-light casement on each side. The casements are made of iron with small panes. Each wing has a shaped brick chimney on the ridge. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
