Description
Number 10 Upper Northgate Street is a town house, now used as doctors' surgeries, dating from around 1800 and altered since. The building is constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond and has a grey slate roof that runs parallel to the front. It stands three storeys high and features three symmetrical windows. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels set within a pediment case, flanked by panelled pilasters. Each storey has a sillband, with the ground floor displaying paired sash windows, although the glazing bars have been removed, positioned on either side of the door. The first floor features a double-square sash window, also with removed bars, above the doorway, and a wider sash window with four panes on each side. The second floor contains three sash windows, each with four panes. The building has stone sills and wedge lintels, a cornice, and has had its chimneys removed. The interior has been altered and fittings removed. This building forms a group with other structures along Upper Northgate Street.
