Description

Williamson's Bridge, also known as Canal Bridge No. 111, is a canal accommodation bridge built around 1776 by Samuel Weston for the Chester Canal Company. It is constructed of washed orange brick and features a segmental arch supported by low curving piers, with stone springers and a raised stone band above. At road level, there is a brick band that supports a plain parapet with flat stone coping. The bridge has short curving wing walls that terminate in square pilasters.
