Description

Brassey Green Hall is a house, originally dated 1584, although likely incorporating earlier fabric. It is timber framed with wattle and daub and rendered brick infill, covered by a slate roof. The house has two storeys and exhibits gabled wings flanking a central range. The left-hand wing features close studding to both floors and jetties to the first floor and gable, with V-strutting to the gable and a king post. The central range displays decorative small framing, including chevron strutting, diamonds and quarter circles. The right-hand gabled wing also has close studding to both floors and V-strutting to the jettied gable. A central ridge stack is present. A projecting gabled wing is located on the right-hand side, featuring a timber-framed gable and a chimney breast to its right. The rear of the house was largely rebuilt during the 20th century.
