Description

Hulgrave Hall is a late 18th-century house with an attached stable block. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. The main house has two storeys and four bays, arranged symmetrically. Stone quoins mark the corners, with a stone band dividing the ground and first floors. The front door, located to the right of the centre, features four raised and fielded panels, set within an arched porch supported by moulded brackets and panels. Tripartite windows flank the entrance, with the central lights containing three panes and the side lights containing one pane each. First-floor windows are sash windows with three panes. To the left of the main house is the stable block, which has four doorways with stone hinge dressings and wedge lintels, each topped with a cambered arch; three of these doorways are now blocked. Stone kneelers and coping finish the gable ends.
