Description
Saighton Lane Farm's farm buildings were constructed in 1888 by Douglas and Fordham for the 1st Duke of Westminster. The buildings are L-shaped, with the left wing made of brown brick featuring a flush string of blue brick at the first floor and decorative diapering above. The right wing is built of brick with an oak-framed upper storey. Both wings are two storeys tall and retain their original shippon doors, hayloft loading doors, and camber arched rebated brick openings. The right wing has small-paned iron casements in stone-mullioned windows, while the left wing has altered windows. There is also a single storey left wing of the same date and character located behind the farmhouse.
