Description
Church House Farmhouse, which includes a shippon on the north side, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of brown brick with graded slate roofs. The farmhouse is two storeys high. On the ground floor, there are three casement windows, each with three lights. The first floor features a smaller casement window, likely added in the 20th century, situated between the second and third windows. All windows have splayed brick heads. The entrance has a Victorian four-panel door, and there are dentils along the eaves. Stacks are located at both gable ends of the house. The shippon, which is slightly later but shares the same dimensions and materials, has one rectangular window and three groups of diamond-pattern vents. At the rear, there is a pitch hole and a square loading door above two plain doorways. This range is noted as a largely unaltered example of its type.
