Description
The Surgery is a former farmhouse that has been converted into a house, dating from the early 18th century with later alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed of orange brick in English bond on a base of sandstone bedrock, topped with a Welsh slate roof and featuring two brick chimneys. The building is two stories high with a symmetrical three-bay front. The end bays have 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor and 16-pane sash windows on the upper floor, both set under segmental brick heads and with tiled sills. The central bay contains a four-panelled door, which is accessed by four brick steps and is also topped with a segmental brick head, with a 12-pane sash window above it.
