Description
The dovecote located 80 meters north of Puddington Old Hall dates from the later 18th century and was built for the Stanley-Massey family. It is constructed of red brick in an English garden wall bond and features a pyramidal roof covered with small Welsh slates and stone ridges. The roof has a raised central entrance that is now weather-boarded. The structure is square in plan and has a two-storey, one-bay west front. There is a stone band at the first floor and a simple brick cornice. Each floor has a boarded door with a segmental brick head. Inside, there are tiers of nest boxes with brick ledges throughout.
