Description

This is a cottage, likely dating to the 19th century, although with origins potentially earlier. It has been altered later. The exterior is of roughcast plaster on brick, with a raised rendered plinth and simple timber bargeboards. The roof is slate-covered, with a rendered stack at the gable end. The visible gable end to the street is two-storey and has one window. Windows on both floors are of two lights and have metal frames with top-hung vents. The left return features a four-panelled, half-glazed door set in a heavy frame with a stone hood supported by simple consoles. To the left of the entrance is an old fixed six-pane window, and to the right, a small metal window with a night vent. A two-light metal-framed window, similar to those in the gable, is contained within a gabled half-dormer on the first floor. Inside, there is an old cottage staircase with winders and stick balusters, wide-boarded doors in original frames hung on old 'T' hinges, and cased ceiling beams.
