Description

43 Lawton Street is a building dated 1671, featuring a timber frame with plaster infilling, painted black and white. It is generally in its original state and has two storeys. The ground floor includes one 18th-century oriel bow window with glazing bars, along with a plain doorway that has an old ledged door. There are stone steps leading up from the side, which are bordered by modern wood palings. The date is carved on the door lintel, and the building has a restored slate roof.
