Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early 19th century, with a mid-19th century addition. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys. The entrance front includes a central half-glazed doorway that is surrounded by a moulded frame and topped with a gabled porch. On either side of the doorway are three-light casement windows with cambered heads and flat arched tops. The first floor has three similar windows. To the left, there is a one-bay addition that also has three-light windows on both the ground and first floors. A decorative band runs along the eaves, supported by alternately projecting headers. The farmhouse has three ridge stacks, one on each of the original gable ends and one on the new left-hand gable end. Both gable ends are finished with stone kneelers and coping. The building is listed for its group value with the nearby church.
