Description
Marshfield Bank Farm House is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of brown brick, with an old slate roof that has recently been replaced with concrete tiles. The building is 2½ storeys high and features three bays, along with a lower wing to the north. The south front is laid in Flemish Bond and includes a replaced door set in a heavy dowelled frame, topped with a panel soffited hood supported by shaped brackets. The windows are three-light casements with glazing bars, stone sills, and flat cambered arches with turning pieces. Gable end chimney stacks are present. At the rear, the brickwork is in English Garden Wall Bond, and there are some horizontal sliding sashes.
Inside, the north wing has bevelled beams and exposed ceiling joists, which may predate the current house. The south section of the building features six-panel doors.
