Description

The parish boundary stone, located 35 meters west of the barn at Sowcar Farm, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of semi-circular headed ashlar block of sandstone. The west face features a well-cut "B" for Bollington, while the east face displays an "R" for Rainow. This stone is likely identical to another boundary stone situated opposite the Poacher's Inn on Ingersley Road in Bollington. Part of this stone is located in Bollington.
